Important: The Zero Fare for Youth program has been voted by the RTD board to continue moving forward.  This means students in the Denver metro area will continue to ride for free.

To board the bus or train, students will need to show one of the following items:

• Current school ID

• Valid government-issued ID

• Alien registration/permanent resident card

• Military ID/dependent card with DOB

• RTD-issued youth special discount card

Even though RTD is allowing students of all ages to ride for free, DPS strongly encourages parents/guardians to ride with their elementary school and middle school students.
